How did you get into floral work?
My first time working at a flower shop was in 1985. I worked at a small shop in a mall. My mother had a love for gardening and flower arranging, and I thought I’d give it try. I loved it!
We here at Neubauer’s Flowers want to make a radical suggestion: buy your own self flowers.
We know, we know. Typically we think of buying for others, or buying for occasions, or buying to commemorate events. We’re not necessarily in the habit of giving ourselves a flower gift, and yet, we should be. Flowers are proven mood-boosters and health preservers. It’s an important act of self-care, buying yourself flowers.
For many of us, it’s the flowers we give or receive that are not attached to a major holiday or event that matter most. The meaningful exchanges we make that are personal to us, or the milestone gestures that we never forget—a first corsage, the bouquet we send to our very first crush—are the ones we really don’t forget. Neubauer’s Flowers is there for every flower exchange, but we really enjoy seeing how you create the ones that are most dear to you.
